About the Tournament

Beat the Fleet (formerly Rock the Dock, 2021–2024) is Long Beach Island’s largest and most inclusive summer flounder tournament. Now in its 5th year, this event brings together anglers of all backgrounds — whether you're chasing trophies offshore or simply enjoying a day on the water with family and friends.

This tournament is designed for everyone:

  • Hardcore anglers

  • Weekend warriors

  • Kayak fishermen

  • Shore-based locals

  • Party boat regulars

With multiple divisions, entry levels, and prize categories, there’s a real opportunity for everyone to land on the leaderboard. New for this year, we’re removing the shotgun start to allow more flexibility in departure and increase participation. We’re also implementing a mandatory polygraph for winning teams to maintain fairness and tournament integrity.
